Make Your Voice Heard on New Plan for Recreation Management
Did you know that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages over 245 million acres of public lands across the United States?
More than 81 million visitors to our public lands last fiscal year – a 40 percent increase since 2012.
These shared lands provide opportunities for all of us to enjoy various recreational activities, including camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and more!
If you love the outdoors and enjoy our public lands, now you have an opportunity to have your voice heard as the BLM is seeking the input of the public on the new plan Blueprint for 21st Century Outdoor Recreation, which will guide the agency’s decisions to proactively meet modern demands for outdoor experiences, and prioritize recreation investment and appropriate staffing.
The plan and fact sheet are available on our Recreation Strategy webpage.
There are different ways to share your input by September 30th, including in-person and virtual recreation Blueprint roundtables hosted by the Foundation for America’s Public Lands. You can also email your comments to the email blm_recreation_feedback@blm.gov.
Our Hispanic/Latino community voices are needed to ensure diversity in the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
